‘Mongrel’ is the interdisciplinary creative partnership of architect L. Buchi & songwriter/performer J. Canty. Drawing together on cardboard, mongrel uses a combination of ink, chalk and charcoal.

44 Faces, mongrel’s most recent project, uses abandoned home delivery packaging as a base material. Overlooked, the packaging is repurposed; portraits are presented either alone or enclosed within dark, inharmonious interiors, depicting domestic isolation & anxiety.
